Fermentation, Gluten, & Soy Disclaimer:
To make Benny Sauce, the process involves fermentation. We add a "kill step" to production process to extend shelf life and also prevent any further fermentation from happening. We also do not mark our bottles with a "Gluten Free" label. This is mainly because our products are manufactured in a facility that is not certified gluten free/soy free.
As always, if you have a food allergy or sensitivity and are not 100% comfortable with consuming a product, then you shouldn't. It is 100% the customer's responsibility to share any food allergies or restrictions with Benny Things, LLC.
If you have any questions about product ingredients or production processes, please do not hesitate to reach out via email or phone. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have.
We understand that a lot of hot sauces have a dispensing cap. This is useful for certain sauces, but we believe if you used such cap, then it would take away from the integrity of the product. The consistency of the sauce would separate, leaving all the "good" stuff behind. Also with having a sauce that has the consistency that ours does, it would take forever to shake the sauce out of the bottle. The only thing we say when using Benny Sauce for the first time is, watch your pour!
The sauce is in a 5 ounce woozy hot sauce bottle.
Benny Sauce is shelf stable with a 2 year shelf life.
Our main sales are done in person and online with the Benny Things website. But as of recent we are also now selling on Google Marketplace, Ebay, Ace Hardware of Kent, and a few more potential in store retailers very soon! In person sales take place in the following states: North Carolina & Georgia.
Benny Sauce does not contain any additional flavorings or dyes. It doesn't really contain any excessive preservatives. The only two you could deem as "preservatives" are citric acid and xantham gum. Which citric acid is present to maintain freshness, while xantham gum is present to maintain stability.
