A play on the classic green sauce everyone loves. This sauce is great on every dish and is very mild compared to the original Benny Sauce. So if heat isn't your thing, but you still want to add a little extra flavor, this is a safe bet. Ingredients include, charred tomatillo, garlic, onion, lime, & jalapeno.
This recipe yields about 1 cup of chimichurri.
Benny Sauce Verde Heat 4 TBSP
Extra Virgin Olive Oil 3 TBSP
Finely Chopped Fresh Cilantro 2 TBSP
Finely Chopped Fresh Parsley 2 TBSP
Finely Diced Red Bell Pepper 2 TBSP
Finely Diced Red Onion 1 TBSP
Minced Fresh Garlic 2 tsp
Kosher Salt TT
Black Pepper TT
1. Mix all prepared ingredients in a small bowl with a whisk.
2. Place in a serving vessel of choice and enjoy with your favorite food.
Special Notes:
Goes great with steak or any protein option. Has only a 2 to 3 day shelf life. Herbs will start to brown after this time frame.
